Some stuff

Hi! Sorry!

Thanks so much for the Takoma Park posts, very very helpful.

Now, some things:

1. Did you guys read Christopher Pike books when y'all were young? Gawd, I LOVED them so much. And they were really good books. I would read them over and over and over again, always picking up one when I was home at my parent's for the weekend, until they rudely moved to a small townhouse that has no room to put JG's childhood books on display. I mean, what happened to Christopher Pike? He totally kicked R.L. Stine's ass. Last Act was the first one I bought, so clever and smart. Then Chain Letter, Gimme A Kiss, Remember Me, THE FINAL FRIENDS SERIES ... Augh! So GOOD. I still think about those books from time to time, they're so embedded into my brain. Then he went kind of more super natural, Chain Letter 2, Witch, and monsters started playing a bigger role than just fucked up, (but always beautiful) high school students gone wild.

Uh oh. Now I'm on amazon looking at all of my pretties ... I want to buy them all. This can't be good on a student's budget. Ha ha! I'll go to half.com. Now I know what I'll do during commercials for the Gilmore Girls.

God, I love wireless Internet.

My Wolverine Action Figure is still being suspiciously quiet about his missing claw. I don't know what he got up to out there, but I certainly hope it wasn't because he tried electrocuting cyclops by sticking the missing claw in his seeing eyewear. I mean, give it up, Wolvy. Jean Gray's married! Oh great. Now he's sulking.

I was a HUGE Christopher Pike fan when I was a teenager. Then I found Dean Koontz and for a while I was convinced they were one and the same.

When everybody else in homeroom was gushing over R.L. Stine? I was ALL ABOUT Christopher Pike. Now that you've got me thinking about it, I'm glad I still have all of mine. Somewhere.
